‘Star Wars’ Celebration Chicago Announces New Panels

With the highly anticipated Star Wars Celebration Convention in Chicago just weeks away, Lucasfilm has been releasing a steady stream of news and reveals for what is in store for attendees. This week, two exciting panels were announced.

On Friday April 12, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and director J.J. Abrams will be appearing on stage for the long-awaited Star Wars: Episode IX panel. The title, synopsis, and just about everything else for Episode IX still remain a complete mystery, so this panel is a must-see for fans hoping to learn more about the upcoming final chapter of the Skywalker saga. Seemingly, there will also be a handful of surprises and special guests present.

On Saturday April 13, fans can look forward to the “Bringing Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to Life” panel, which will focus on the upcoming Disney theme park expansions. According to StarWars.com, Lucasfilm staff and team members from Walt Disney Imagineering will be present to “share stories about what it takes to bring Star Wars to life and how visitors can live their very own Star Wars stories.”
