The time has come. The Lion King Live Action Trailer was released Thanksgiving and we got a first look into Pride Rock and the African wildlife. Directed by Jon Favreau, and starring Beyoncé, Seth Roger, Donald Glover, and James Earl Jones, it is sure to bring the circle of life to its beginning.

This movie follows Simba on his training to become the new king but when tragedy strikes where his father, the current king Mufasa, dies saving Simba. His uncle Scar, convinces Simba to run away and never come back. Scar takes Mufasa’s place as long and Pride Rock falls. Simba on his journey meets Timon and Pumba who watch over him and become family. Nala, Simba’s childhood friend finds Simba unexpectedly, who she believed was dead, and convinces him to come back to Pride Rock to take his rightful place as king. It’s a journey of heartache and bravery, sadness and honesty. The new trailer has amazed audiences already with it’s realistic animal portrayals using CGI. Get ready to see The Lion King when it comes out in theaters July 2019.
