Riverdale is bringing drama to a whole new level in season three! Oh my gosh! Where to even start?
The biggest news at the end of last season was the arrest of Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) for murder. The first episode starts three months later with Archie on trial while the others are getting ready for school. Considering we see him wanting a normal Labor Day weekend in the season 3 trailer, one would think that it went ended well. I’m just hoping a favor wasn’t pulled to have it dismissed. Nothing is free in the town of Riverdale.
Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) and Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse) are still in a relationship and according to Lili, things between them are “rock-solid.” They even are returning to their season 1 ways, getting back to investigating. Our other main pairing, Archie and Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) is not going to be doing so well. Veronica is working on being an entrepreneur and student and that may take a toll on her relationship. There are two new pairings to watch out for this season. Things are getting interesting between FP Jones (Skeet Ulrich) and Alice Cooper (Mädchen Amick) and episode 3 will be big for them. Cheryl Blossom (Madeleine Petsche) and Toni Topaz (Vanessa Morgan) are heating up the screen, as well. Vanessa said, “I ship Choni harder than I ship anything else.” It’s great to see actors acknowledging the ships of their show. My favorite upcoming relationship is between Kevin Keller (Casey Cott) and Moose Mason (Cody Kearsley). Moose is still in the closet, but Kevin plans to help him.
In the weird world of the Coopers, Alice has apparently gone off the reservation with her daughter Polly Cooper (Tiera Skovbye). They appear to be doing some cult ritual with the twins. “The Farm” is not all that it seems.
We did find out that Jughead’s mom and sister, Jellybean, will be moving to Riverdale, but everyone is mum on the casting of those characters.
My favorite piece of the whole day was seeing Archie and the gang in his jalopy! I have been dying to see it since day one! What are you most excited about? Let us know in the comments below!
