Last month, there was a release party for the book Family Don’t End with Blood: Cast and Fans on How Supernatural Has Changed Lives. The book was put together and edited by Lynn S. Zubernis, who is a fan of Supernatural and can be found on twitter at @FangasmSPN.

The book features stories and messages from some of the cast – Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, Mark Sheppard, Jim Beaver, Ruth Connell, Osric Chau, Rob Benedict, Kim Rhodes, Briana Buckmaster, Matt Cohen, Gil McKinney and Rachel Miner – and stories from fans and their experience with the fandom.

The book and the stories in them are amazing – they’re deeply personal and moving and definitely a book we recommend to read. You can purchase the book at Amazon and visit the website FamilyDontEndWithBlood.com

At the book’s release party guests were invited to attend and Rob Benedict, Gil McKinney, Ruth Connell and Jim Beaver appeared, each sharing their story about the book. Other guests included Curtis Armstrong, Julie McNiven and Rick Worthy, as well as fans who wrote chapters for the book, each sharing their experiences as well. The party also included music from Louden Swain, who delivered a great performance as usual.

Lua James compiled footage from the party and released a video of it, which you can see below. Make sure to pick up a copy of the book!
