The CW announced a number of renewals today, and among them was Legacies, the spin-off to The Originals set in The Vampire Diaries universe.
Currently airing its third season, Legacies centers around Hope Mikaelson, the daughter of Klaus Mikaelson, and Hayley Marshall and is part of the most powerful supernatural family that consists of witches, vampires, and wolves. Hope attends the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted, where other supernatural creatures and beings go to study and practice.
At the end of season 2 (which has rolled over into season 3) Hope had found herself returning to a world that completely forgot she existed after she had jumped into the Malivore pit. After they had thought things would finally begin to turn back to normal, Josie consumed dark magic, and in an effort to pull the real Josie out of her subconscious, Hope entered her mind … but never came out. Season 3 as we know it so far has seen Hope awake from her slumber, but not without having to endure heartbreak.
Legacies airs Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
