Magnolia Pictures and Magnet Releasing have released their trailer for new thriller horror-comedy, 12 Hour Shift. Fans of the horror genre may recognize the name Brea Grant who starred in Rob Zombie’s Halloween II and Beyond the Gates. Grant is shifting from in front of the camera to behind the camera to dip her toes into the directing and writing side of things with her writing debut Lucky coming later this year.
Grant is hitting the trifecta with 12 Hour Shift (directing, writing, and starring), the film also stars Angela Bettis (Carrie, Our Little Secret), Chloe Farnworth (Departure), Nikea Gamby-Turner (Colombiana, Behind the Candelabra), Kit Williamson (Mad Men, Eastsiders) Mick Foley (The Peanut Butter Falcon), and David Arquette (Scream, Spree, You Cannot Kill David Arquette).
The synopsis for the film is as follows:
It’s 1998 and over the course of one night at an Arkansas hospital, a junkie nurse, her scheming cousin and a group of black market organ-trading criminals get caught up in a heist gone wrong.

12 Hour Shift will make its premiere at the Fantasia Festival this Saturday. The film will release in theaters and on demand on October 2.
