Recently, we talked with Adam Rose about his YouTube channel, Supernatural, conventions, and more.

Adam has quite the resume – notably Max in Veronica Mars and of course Aaron Bass in Supernatural– but also iZombie, Weeds, and many, many more. Adam is also very active on social media, taking us along with him daily via SnapChat and Instagram. Adam is also a very active vlogger, and has taken fans along with him all over the world and to fan conventions. Adam is very engaging when attending -or hosting – conventions or events and is great with interacting with fans on social media.

Nerds and Beyond: You’re very active on YouTube with your vlogs. Is there anyone that influenced you to start vlogging?

Adam Rose: I’ve had a few influences on that particular platform. I think the most obvious would be Casey Neistat. His work opened the vlogging world up to me in a way that was more digestible. prior to that I didn’t really understand the medium as a form of storytelling. once that be came clear it all sort of clicked for me. I also really enjoy the work of other YouTubers like Shonduras, Ben Brown, David Dobrik, MKBHD, Lily Singh, Hannah Hart, H3H3, and of course Pew Die Pie.

Nerds and Beyond: What is your favorite part of the process in creating your videos?
Adam Rose: I’d have to say watching the finished product is my favorite part. I find joy in the editing process but it can be tedious. Shooting is definitely fun but seeing this thing I created at the end of the day feels really good.

Nerds and Beyond: You did a video that a lot of fans were really excited about with the Hillywood sisters. Is there anyone else you would like to collaborate with?Any other guests you’d like to have in a video?
Adam Rose: So many. all of the ones I mentioned above. and I’d probably add Grace Helbig too.

Nerds and Beyond: You’ve hosted the Asylum conventions twice now; what is your favorite part of hosting and being at the cons? Are there any other cons you’d like to be a guest at?
Adam Rose: I’d be a guest at any Supernatural con ever because they are the best fans in the world. I love hosting too, it gives me a chance to touch base with everyone throughout the weekend and then I feel like we have a special bond. its great. such a bonus to my already awesome job.

Nerds and Beyond: Fans were excited to see Aaron return to Supernatural for Season 12 – even though we only got to see him for a little while – but from the sound of it he was teaming up with his golem and kicking some major Nazi ass. What was it like being back in the Supernatural world? And if Aaron were to get brought in again how would you like that to happen?

Adam Rose:
I think he’s obviously come back with the Golem and kick some Nazi zombie ass with the Winchesters. I think the last episode i did was a little bit of a tease so I’m hoping the fans of Aaron Bass get the pay off they’re expecting. I have a feeling that could definitely happen at some point.

Nerds and Beyond: Recently fans saw you in Santa Clarita Diet. What was it like working with Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant?

Adam Rose:They are both legends. So freaking talented. I’ve been a fan of them both for a long time and it’s always amazing to get a chance to work with people you look up to. and I’m looking forward to Season 2 of that show…

Nerds and Beyond: In one of your most recent vlogs we saw you talking about GISHWHES with Misha and this being your first year. His advice for prepping seemed a bit daunting. Are you excited to join in the hunt this year?
Adam Rose: I’m pumped. no idea what to expect and I’ve grown to love that aspect of life. who knows? I’ve gotten a lot of “warnings” so we’ll see. But yeah, Misha’s advice was definitely… informing.

Nerds and Beyond: In the past year you’ve taken your social media followers with you to some very cool places. What has been your favorite part or memorable moments from one of your recent trips?
Adam Rose:Just got back from Ireland. My girlfriend and I visited the Cliffs of Moher and it was just surreal. It’s hard to put into words. I was so happy I had my drone with me cause it’s the only way to show the full scope of that place.

Nerds and Beyond:Are there any places you’re excited to go this year that you can tell us about? Or somewhere that you’re hoping to go?
Adam Rose:I have a few trips coming up this year. Places I’ve never been. I’m excited and a little scared. It’s gonna be insane i just don’t wanna spill the beans yet. I can say I’ve always wanted to see where my extended family is from.

Nerds and Beyond: Any upcoming projects that you can tell us about?
Adam Rose:I don’t mean to be continuously cryptic but I have a couple acting jobs coming that I can’t talk about yet. And I’m pitching a show with a friend of mine for me to star in. It’s a process and we’re just getting started but I’m looking forward to sharing it with everyone no matter it winds up.

And you can keep up with Adam’s travels, con appearances and much more on his social media accounts: Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, and Instagram.
