On the evening of August 21, the lights of The Paramount in Huntington, New York dimmed and the sound of ear-piercing screams took over.

The sold-out crowd was on hand to see New Found Glory, who has been entertaining fans for decades.

If you run alongside the genre of Pop/Punk, you are bound to know New Found Glory. The band performed with enthusiasm and high energy, and it was no doubt something to marvel at.

As the band played on, they paused in the middle of the set to acknowledge the absence of their long-time friend and original guitarist/backup vocalist Chad Gilbert, who is currently fighting a fierce battle with a rare form of cancer. In his place, Dan O’Connor of Four Years Strong kept his spot warm on the stage until he returns.

This show was filled with the most epic form of nostalgia to remind you where your Pop/Punk roots started.

Check out New Found Glory’s tour dates, here, and see them on the road!

Review: NatGeo’s ‘National Parks: USA’

0

Is there anything NatGeo can’t do?

In the network’s new series, National Parks: USA, viewers will be transported to some of the most gorgeous landscapes and precious ecosystems in America.

Touted as a “visual love letter” to the country’s wildlife, history, and cultural value found within the parks, each episode takes viewers through the changing seasons and presents a cast of animal characters with whom to fall in love.

The series also touches on Indigenous stories and reveals how today’s tribes link the past to the present. Through stunning camerawork, National Parks: USA highlights the importance the lands hold and why they must be preserved for the future.

Each episode in the five-part series focuses on a different park: Katmai, the Everglades, Yellowstone, Olympic National Park, and Zion National Park.

Katmai, born from volcanic ash and best known for its brown bears, is the first up. Its episode showcases the park’s beautiful landscapes in a way few will ever get to see in person, but will definitely make them want to.

Conservation is at the forefront of the Everglades episode. It’s the first national park founded to protect wildlife and ecological richness, and viewers will be captivated by the details of its ecosystem, wherein black bears, alligators, bottlenose dolphins, and panthers all live.

Subsequent episodes boast stunning displays of both environmental landscapes and majestic animals in their natural habitats. The grizzly bear cubs in Yellowstone – and Katmai! – are especially cute!

Even if you’ve been to some of these parks, the series is sure to open your eyes beyond what’s on the surface. And if you’ve never been, it will for sure make you want to see the beauty of America’s parks for yourself. Road trip, anyone?

National Parks: USA premieres on NatGeo on September 8 and will air over three weeks. Episodes will begin streaming on Disney+ and Hulu on September 9.
