Matt Cohen has just launched a new IndieGoGo campaign for Public Domain, an animated TV series that spoofs, “intellectual property and iconic characters.”
Cohen is most known for his role as young John Winchester on Supernatural, as Dr. Griffin Munro on ABC’s General Hospital, and as a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight. He’s also an accomplished director, having directed his short, Mama Bear, which won numerous film festival awards. He also directed an episode of Supernatural in its final season, season 15, episode 15 titled, “Gimme Shelter”.

Ben Barnes has done it again! After his wildly successful first EP, Songs For You, was released in 2021 fans have been clamoring for new music. One thing about Barnes is that he will take the time to make something worth waiting for. “Beloved” is the first single from his upcoming album Where The Light Gets In.
Fans have been anticipating this release, with several teasers posted on the actor/singer’s social media. “Beloved” has lived up to the hype! Beginning the song with a quote from Charles Dickens’s Great Expectations, “I loved her against reason, against promise…” The song then moves into his signature style. Barnes showcases his ability to write a simple lyric in a way that touches the listener’s heart deeply. While listening to this song the tears began to flow and it felt like Ben Barnes was giving me a therapy session about allowing myself to be loved by others.
Speaking of therapy, that is the exact route Barnes decided to go down in the “Beloved” music video. The video stars Barnes as a therapist with Camilla Belle as the patient. Barnes’ character is trying to help Belle’s character break free of the confines she has placed upon herself. Viewers see Belle sitting on a couch with darker colors present and confining clothes. The song conveys that when we love others we often try to make ourselves what we think the other wants us to be. This is said perfectly with the lyrics, “Your heart is beating to match mine.”
Throughout the video, he tells her to let go and let herself be loved as she is. A little bit at a time we see the characters shed their layers and color is brought into the video. The sentiment of making ourselves fit a mold set by others is felt by so many. Watching Belle’s character finally release herself and the celebration afterward was so cathartic. Barnes will always produce a song and video that is so heartfelt and lets the listener know they aren’t alone in the things they feel and experience. Please watch the “Beloved” music video below!

It was an out-of-this-world weekend at SpaceCon San Antonio, presented by Thomas J. Henry at the Freeman Coliseum from October 25-27, 2024.
This newest comic con, created by PMX Events, allowed fans of intergalactic television shows and movies to see celebrities from space-themed franchises including Star Wars, Star Trek, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Battlestar Galactica, among others.
Celebrity guests included Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Rosario Dawson, Josh Brolin, Sean Gunn, Michael Rooker, Katee Sackhoff, Ahmed Best, Levar and Mica Burton, Ross Marquand, William Shatner, and more!
The convention included celebrity panels, photo-ops, autographs, a vendor’s area, as well as a free-play arcade area. Fans of all ages showed off their cosplay skills at a cosplay contest representing various fandoms.
Ming-Na Wen spoke in her panel about being part of so many franchises, saying that she still has not been in Star Trek, so maybe someday she can make that happen.
Josh Brolin joked about filming Men in Black 3 and not knowing if Tommy Lee Jones liked his interpretation of the young Agent K character until years later. Star Trek fans enjoyed stories from Mica Burton about her father, Levar, including the time he microwaved his cell phone. Later in his panel, Levar side-stepped an explanation of that incident, making fans (and his co-stars) laugh even more.
Ewan McGregor talked about the day that Robert DeNiro was on the set of Star Wars and how embarrassing it was filming a scene with Hayden Christensen with their light sabers while the great Robert DeNiro watched.
Sean Gunn started off his panel answering fan questions but was soon derailed by Michael Rooker appearing on stage and then jumping into the audience with his microphone, bringing with him a lot of energy and laughter.
The affordable, family-friendly event debuted in Alamo City to passionate fans eager to celebrate their love for these celebrities and their work.

The synopsis for season 3, episode 5 of CBS’ Fire Country has been released. The episode is titled, “Edgewater’s About to Get Real Cozy” and is set to air on Friday, November 15.
Jared Padalecki (Walker, Supernatural) was announced over the summer to make a 3-episode appearance in the show, and this episode marks his first appearance. Padalecki plays Camden Casey, a Captain with a SoCal swagger.

It’s the fourth anniversary of the donghua adaptation of Heaven Official’s Blessing! To celebrate, a short teaser trailer for the upcoming short film was released.
Heaven Official’s Blessing season 1 aired in Fall 2020 with an 11-episode run, followed by a special 12th episode. Season 2 featured 12 episodes and ran from October 2023 to January 2024. The series is adapted from the novels of the same name by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. The English translations of the novels are an 8-book collection.
The animation studios of the series, bilibili and Haoliners Animation League, also shared a promo video for the series featuring some our favorite Heavenly Officials and the Four Calamities.
There is no release date set for the short film, which will feature Xie Lian’s time as the Crown Prince of Xianle prior to his first ascension.

Prime Video has shared the official first look at their new drama series, On Call, starring Pretty Little Liars‘ Troian Bellisario.
The series will premiere on January 9, 2025. The eight-episode season will stream exclusively on Prime Video.
Co-created by Tim Walsh and Elliot Wolf, On Call is Wolf Entertainment’s first scripted streaming series. The series also stars Brandon Larracuente, Eriq La Salle, Lori Loughlin, and Rich Ting.
