We finally got a good glimpse of what the next season of Outlander has to offer – and it looks like life isn’t going to get any easier for Jamie and Claire next season.
The fourth season, based off of the forth book in the Outlander series “The Drums of Autumn”, will take the Frasers (Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe) from the shores of Georgia (where we last left them, shipwrecked, but alive) to the frontier of North Carolina, and a place called River Run.
In the trailer, we see glimpses of what’s to come: Jamie’s mother’s sister, his aunt Jocasta (Maria Doyle Kennedy) greeting them at her plantation – Jamie and Claire briefly meeting outlaw and this season’s antagonist Steven Bonnet (Ed Speleers) – and Claire finding a skull with silver fillings, something that won’t be invented for a hundred years, suggesting that there are even more time travelers.
The fourth season of Outlander will air this November on Starz. Are you excited about this season? If you read the book, what are you looking forward to? (Personally, I’m excited to meet Rollo!) Let us know in the comments below!
Warning: This post contains MAJOR spoilers for Wynonna Earp Season 3, Episode 2!
Season 3, Episode 2 of Wynonna Earp, “When You Call My Name,” picks up where the last episode left off with the aftermath of Wynonna and Waverly’s truck wreck. The incredibly intense episode begins with Waverly being dragged away, and a cut scene to Wynonna waking up. She calls for Waverly and as the camera backs away, we see she is on the side of a cliff. With her incredible sass, she exclaims how much she “hates hangovers” before she hears and sees her mom at the top of the cliff as she starts to fall asleep. Her mom warns her not to fall asleep, and reminds her that it is not about being brave or strong, it is about being smart. Wynonna decides she can climb up, but a dislocated shoulder hinders her with a pain she says is worse than childbirth. With a painful scream, Wynonna braces her arm against the rock and pops her shoulder back in place.
The scene cuts to Waverly hanging from the ceiling in a small cabin-like room with an orange glow. A revenant enters, and with a very Hansel & Gretel-like vibe, starts talking about trees coming alive, the woods changing and how he has had to change his hunting grounds. The creepy vibes continue as we hear a voice belonging to an unknown girl, and a shot of an arm as the voice says “at least parts of her are still here.”
As Wynonna starts climbing, Waverly receives a text from Nicole. As the text turns into a call, Waverly tries to bargain with the revenant to let her go. She warns him that people will come looking for her. But instead of letting her go, the revenant steals her voice and answers Nicole’s call as Waverly silently screams.

The show cuts back to Wynonna as she reaches the top of the cliff, immediately running for the wrecked truck and screaming for Waverly. As Wynonna realizes Waverly was taken away and starts running for the woods, her mom appears once again urging Wynonna to stop and to focus on her own survival. So Wynonna does what she does best. She grabs a coat out of the truck and takes a swig of whiskey before starting her trek into the woods to save Waverly.
We then see Nicole, Dolls and Jeremy talking about the demon, how he moves fast and how his victims die just as fast. After talks about the sacrifices made for 7 years, Nicole decides to check the homestead instead of calling Waverly again. Before Dolls leaves too, Jeremy checks and asks how he is. But Dolls basically shrugs him off to go get Doc. The camera zooms in on a photo of a symbol before cutting back to the woods, zoomed in on a tree with the exact same symbol. Wynonna and her mom reminisce before Wynonna brings up how their mom abandoned them when she and Waverly needed her. Her mom says they are just the same before disappearing.
Dolls meets up with Doc at the bar and asks him why he was late to the party and if Alice was okay. Doc assures that Alice is okay, but he is angry because the fight is fixed between the living and the dead. He tells Dolls were enemies (in last season’s episode “Gone as a Girl Can Get “where they were transported to a world where Wynonna didn’t exist) and that Dolls killed him and he went to Hell. He tells Dolls that they are both murderers that are destined for the dark. But Dolls disagrees. He tells Doc they are not the same because he doesn’t “need a threat of damnation to fight for the right side” before leaving the bar.
As Nicole drives to the homestead, she is stopped by a man who claims he was lost in the woods and separated from his son. He clues Nicole in about the wrecked truck and she has the man take her to it immediately. We then see Waverly once again, and the revenant using her voice to scream for help. A man, who we can only assume is the man’s son, enter the room. Waverly silently screams to warn him, but it is already too late as the booby trap kills him. The revenant then puts Waverly in a cage.
Jeremy goes to the bar and talks to Doc, who quickly figures out that something is wrong with Dolls’ drugs. That is when Nicole texts Doc about the accident. Jeremy gives him an earpiece so they can talk and Jeremy can track him, while Doc tells him to let Dolls in on what is going on. But as Doc leaves, Jeremy does not call Dolls.
Wynonna finally makes it to the cabin and quickly asks Waverly why she isn’t talking. Waverly then tries to mime there is a booby trap, with Wynonna hilariously guessing underwire at first. She continues silently guiding Wynonna through the trap and goes up the stairs just in the nick of time as the revenant returns. He starts talking about smelling fear, and just as he looks up at the ceiling making us think he know somehow Wynonna is there, he says he’s got to check another trap and exits.
Meanwhile, Doc meets up with Nicole at the wreck. He quickly figures out that one of them was taken and one of them was on her own. He knows that it is no accident. Jeremy then contacts Doc through the earpiece to let him know there are two houses, and Doc decides that Wynonna likely headed north.
Wynonna tries really hard, but she is unable to break the cage open. She talks about their mom and tells Waverly she will get the jump on the revenant and “swears on her favorite boy band she will kill him” and that she will come back for Waverly. Before that happens, Dolls goes to Jeremy to check in on the Earp’s. Jeremy admits he was gonna call him and hands him his vial.
Wynonna then confronts the revenant and fights him with a tire iron. She tells him about Bulshar, which the revenant denies. He is convinced that Bulshar is buried. Wynonna tells him he is alive, which seems to scare the revenant. He worries about Bulshar finding him again. Wynonna then runs off into the woods with the revenant chasing her. She tricks him with a voice recorder down a deep hole, which Wynonna kicks him into and he falls to his death. Waverly’s voice instantly returns to her, but unfortunately for Wynonna, a trap gets her. She is hanging from a tree as Doc and Nicole make their way through the woods. Doc quickly, and not so gently, cuts her down.
Everyone, minus Jeremy, meet at the wrecked truck. Waverly and Wynonna speak about how long Wynonna knew that their mom was in prison. After admitting she knew the whole time, Waverly asks Dolls to take her to his truck, and that she cannot stand to be there anymore. As Nicole prepares to climb down the cliff to get Wynonna’s Peacemaker, Dolls’ eyes start to glow. As he picks up the vial, he pauses to tell a worried Waverly that “Wynonna is gonna need you more than ever.”

Trouble finds the Earp’s and crew as a demon cuts the rope Nicole is harnessed to. Wynonna quickly grabs it as Doc throws himself at the demon, but the demon quickly vanishes and reappears elsewhere. As the demon knocks out Doc, Waverly screams for Dolls. Dolls shuts Waverly into the truck and shoots at the demon, who cannot be killed by a mortal weapon. Waverly finds Doc’s earpiece and hears Jeremy, who warns Waverly that Dolls is unstable. As Dolls fight the Demon, Nicole grabs the Peacemaker, but urges Wynonna to let go or they will both go over the edge. Waverly helps Wynonna keep a hold of the rope. The demon warns them all that at least one of them will die, but Dolls breaths fire to kill the demon. Doc wakes up and Waverly and Wynonna manage to get Nicole up. All seems well as Wynonna points her gun at the man in the cowboy hat who seems to be in charge. She distracted by someone calling her name, focusing her attention to Dolls who is collapsed. He is not breathing and he has no pulse. Wynonna urges for help, but Waverly tells her that Dolls is gone.
Wynonna heartbreakingly refuses to leave Dolls despite it being freezing and her being injured because Dolls hates the woods. Waverly stays with Wynonna as she talks about them not being able to stop the demon or fight him. But Dolls took him on and saved them all. He saved Wynonna. A part of her hopes he will still wake up because he is part dragon and it just is not fair. Their mom appears once more and both she and Waverly tell Wynonna at the same time that “he is at peace now.” Their mom continues to tell Wynonna that she will “have to let him go now.”

Welcome to the birthday project for Matt Cohen, Rob Benedict and Richard Speight, Jr! These three, who fans like to collectively call “R2M”, are some of our staff’s favorites and have been nothing but supportive to our site and our staff, so we thought we’d give a little of what we could back.
The three of them share birthdays all within the same month, so we decided to come together to launch the R2M Birthday Project! Rich’s birthday is September 4, Rob’s birthday is September 21, and Matt’s birthday is September 28.
How to Get Involved
Want to get involved in the project? Here’s how. We’re asking you to donate directly to the charity for the person you’re donating for, to celebrate their birthday.
Donate any amount you can, and then send us an email at staff@nerdsandbeyond.com with a screenshot of your confirmation and how much you donated, so that we can add it to the totals for how much is raised. (Please crop/blur out your personal info!) Your name will be added to this post at the end, as a list of donors. **You MUST email us the screenshot in order to be included in the total, the list of donors, and be eligible to win the prize packs!!**
This campaign will run until September 1.
The Goals
The goal is to raise $500 for each of the three charities.
The Swag
For anyone who donates, we will be giving away four prize packs. One for each of the actors, as well as a fourth general “Supernatural” prize pack. If you donate towards Rich’s charity, you will be entered for Rich’s prize pack and the general Supernatural one, etc. Same for Rob and Matt.
If you donate to all three, you’ll be entered to win all four prize packs (while you’ll be entered to win any of the four, you’re only eligible to win one – not all four!). Also, it is one entry per donor, not donation amount!
The drawings will be done at the end of the campaign, on September 2nd, by a random name generator.
Members of our staff will be at the Supernatural convention in Indianapolis, IN, at the end of September. They will deliver three cards to R2M with the donation amount and the list of donors.
Rob Benedict posted on his Instagram a few days ago about filming a teaser for a new featured called Fall. Much about that role is unknown, except for the info that Rob posted.
From the pictures, there wasn’t much to go on what the film was about, or any other details surrounding it. Now, the website of the film was found! The website contains a description of the film, plus new behind-the-scenes photos of Rob! The company behind the film is called “Broken Strong” – and is co-created by Marcus Lee and Punn Wiantrakoon.
Contained, sci-fi thriller, set on a spacecraft work platform, following a loner repairman who has a fateful awakening, when his adult counterpart is killed and replaced with a teenager who needs his help to survive.

Do you love chicken tenders? Then you are going to fall for Guy Fieri’s new restaurant Chicken Guy! Located in Disney Springs, Chicken Guy will offer chicken in nearly every way you imagine them. Want your basic tenders? Easy! Your stomach yearning for a chicken sandwich? They got that, too. They even have a couple salads they can toss chicken in to make your day. Add some more flavor to the chicken of your choice by making a selection from the twenty-two sauce options that will be available. Try one or try them all! The restaurant will have “sauce slingers’ roaming around with holsters of condiments to let you try out.
Of course, you can’t have chicken tenders without a side! Try their Mac Daddy Mac ‘n’ Cheese for something different with great flavor. Their signature seasoned Chicken Guy! fries would be a great choice. You could also get them loaded up in SMC (super melty cheese), chopped grilled chicken, bacon, and green onions. Traditional favorites like coleslaw and fried pickles will also be available.
Dessert is a must though! How about some delicious soft-serve vanilla ice cream topped with Apple Jacks or Cinnamon Toast Crunch? Yes, please! They will also be serving a decadent mint chocolate soft-serve topped with an assortment of chocolate goodies and fresh whipped cream.
If it all sounds too good to be true, I have to tell you, it isn’t. Not only is Chicken Guy! coming to Disney Springs this August, it’s going to be affordable! Disney and affordable aren’t two words that normally go together, but Guy Fieri has promised nothing will be more than $8. As someone who frequents Disney World, I can tell you that is almost unheard of!
Make sure to check back with us because we’ll be giving you a heads up when this new district of Flavortown opens!
When it comes to the DC Universe, I do not know all the comic book lore, who all the villains are, or what characters are variations of each other. However, I do love the DC shows! This includes all the current CW shows (Arrow, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Black Lightning) and a little show from Cartoon Network called Teen Titans GO! I was introduced to this show by my four-year-old son when he watched DVDs of it over and over and over again. There were two levels of humor which made it great for kids and parents alike, so I ended up enjoying it just as much as he did.
This meant when I saw the trailer for Teen Titans GO! To The Movies, I was incredibly excited. Weirdly enough, I was more excited than my son who is now six. I drug him along to the theater anyway so as not to be the lone adult watching a kids’ film.
The premise of the movie is that no one respects the Teen Titans. They are looked down upon and mocked by all the other superheroes. Robin decides that they need to have a movie made about them in order to be respected. To do that, they have to do something big, like fight an arch-nemesis. The poor, unsuspecting villain they choose is one of my favorite villains (though I’m biased because I love Manu Bennett as the character) – the incomparable Slade. The rest of the movie is spent unraveling a secret plot while the Teen Titans’ friendships are put to the test.
For Teen Titans GO! To The Movies, they brought back the original cast members: Scott Menville as Robin, Hynden Walch as Starfire, Greg Cipes as Beast Boy, Khary Payton as Cyborg, and my personal favorite, Tara Strong as Raven. The rest of the cast got filled in by big name actors. Will Arnett, who was also a producer on the movie, played Slade. Nicholas Cage was Superman, Wil Wheaton was The Flash, Kristen Bell played new character Jade Wilson (think about that one DC fans), and Jimmy Kimmel was Batman. As an added bonus, Michael Bolton is included singing “Upbeat Inspirational Song About Life.” At least, he does until Cyborg doesn’t watch where he’s going.
The film as a whole was amazing! It kept the fun originality of the series. I laughed more watching Teen Titans GO! To The Movies than I have with any of the last comedy movies I have watched. There was, of course, the bathroom humor that had the little kids rolling, but the humor for adults to get was freaking hilarious. SPOILER ALERT: I was nearly coughing from laughing by the appearance of Stan Lee. He voiced his own character, poking fun at his cameos in the Marvel films. The attack on Shia Labeouf was probably my second favorite part. END SPOILER ALERT
DC Super Heroes Girls
There were a couple extras that I wasn’t expecting. The movie started with a short from DC Super Hero Girls. It seems that Batgirl has a bit of a rough go trying to get to the fight in time to help her friends. Batgirl is also voiced by Tara Strong, this was probably to help boost the new series to their target market. Though when this new version DC Super Hero Girls will be released is still unknown.
A second clip showed immediately following the main credits. After a bit of static and picture rolling, the original Teen Titans are shown and they say they’ve found a way to come back. What that may mean, I’m not entirely sure, but I look forward to finding out.
Have you been to see Teen Titans GO! To The Movies yet? What did you think? Let us know in the comments below!
Don’t live near a Hot Topic! Not a problem – Supernatural Baby with Sam is now available online.
The Pop! Figure includes a new Sam Winchester figure and the Impala, or better known as Baby. This version of Baby is not as clean as it was when it came with Dean. Sam obviously needs to give the Impala a good washing or Dean won’t let you borrow her again.
As an added bonus, the Chrome chase version will be shipped out randomly.
Yesterday the announcement was made of who we can expect to see in the next Star Wars movie. One name on the cast list was surprising: Carrie Fisher, aka General Leia Organa, will be in the new Star Wars IX movie.
On December 27, 2016, Carrie Fisher passed away at the age of 60. Fisher appeared in many movies and TV shows, but the role she will be most remembered for is her powerful portrayal of the iconic Princess Leia.
How are they doing this? They are going to incorporate footage of Fisher from Star Wars: The Force Awakens that wasn’t used. In an interview on starwars.com, Director J. J. Abrams had this to say about honoring Fisher’s memory.
Finding a truly satisfying conclusion to the Skywalker saga without her eluded us. We were never going to recast or use a CG character. With the support and blessing from her daughter, Billie, we have found a way to honor Carrie’s legacy and role as Leia in Episode IX by using unseen footage we shot together in Episode VII.
Star Wars IX will be released in December of 2019.
It’s that time of year again! The CelebMix Awards nominees have been announced and the voting has begun!
