Podcast audio drama The Thrilling Adventure Hour Treasury’s latest episode was released today. The podcast has the feeling of an old-time radio show that is also a stage production performed monthly. In each episode there are segments from the live show, sketches, and fake commercials.

The two parts that appear in this episode are Beyond Belief and The Cross-Time Adventures of Colonel Tick-Tock.

The second part guest stars Rob Benedict (Kings of Con) as the wallpaper on the west wall, the favorite wall of Sadie Doyle. The catch is that Walton used to be a person and that the Doyle’s are now trying to figure out what to do with him.

iTunes describes the summary of the episode as:

“The Thrilling Adventure Hour Treasury decks the halls of your ears with The Cross-Time Adventures of Colonel Tick-Tock and the grand return of Beyond Belief! The Colonel journeys to the era of Romanticism to save Jane Austen from a deceitful suitor and Frank & Sadie Doyle’s Christmas party for two is interrupted by a most unusual voyeur! The Cross-Time Adventures of Colonel Tick-Tock.”

Download it on ITunes and give it a listen!

Lucifer Seasons 1, 2, And 3 Available on Netflix in US with Season 4 Streaming in 2019

0

Tom Ellis took to Twitter on Dec 17 to announce that Lucifer Seasons 1 through 3 were now available on Netflix.  Season 4 is set to be released on Netflix in 2019.  It was picked up by the streaming service after Lucifans campaigned to save the show immediately following the cancellation from Fox that was announced in May 2018.

For those that are unfamiliar with the show, Lucifer is based on a character developed by Neil GaimanSam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg. The show follows the fallen angel, played by Tom Ellis, who is tired of Hell so he retires to earth to better understand humanity.  After a murder takes place outside his hotel, “Lucifer” is faced with a reaction he didn’t anticipate that feels very similar to compassion.  Matters complicate when he meets homicide detective “Chloe”, played by Lauren German.  “Chloe” is nothing like the humanity he’s known and causes him to wonder if maybe there is hope for his soul.

Catch up on the first three seasons on Netflix while you wait for season four.  You won’t be disappointed!

Many of us grew up loving the puppetry of Jim Henson’s Muppet Workshop.  The original Dark Crystal movie came out in 1982, featuring groundbreaking animatronic work and setting the standard for the future. Fast forward to 2019, where we anticipate the release of a prequel series entitled The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, with 10 episodes from Netflix for the beloved family film. The series is to feature classic Henson puppetry with cutting edge visual effects. The pictures released Dec 17 by Netflix give a sneak peek at some of the puppet design and are reminiscent of the original.

Along with the incredible visuals, the streaming service has pulled out all the stops when it comes to voice talent. Taron Egerton (Kingsman), Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch), and Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones) will star as Rian, Brea and Deet, three Gelfling heroes. The cast also boasts such names as Mark Hamill (Star Wars), Andy Samberg (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Helena Bonham-Carter (Harry Potter), Natalie Dormer (Game of Thrones), and Keegan Michael Key (Key and Peele), to name a few.

IMDB gives us a sneak peek at the plot line along with a look at the puppet creation and Jim Hensen’s commentary about the original movie.

“The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance” returns to the world of Thra, where three Gelfling discover the horrifying secret behind the Skeksis’ power and set out to ignite the fires of rebellion and save their world.”

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is set to be released in 2019.
