The highly anticipated trailer for upcoming thriller series Yaga premiered at San Diego Comic Con today for a thrilled audience.
The new Crave series, which stars Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix, FUBAR), Noah Reid (Schitts Creek, The Vampire Lestat), Clarke Backo (Letterkenny, Supernatural) and Hudson Williams (Heated Rivalry, Super Support) is set to air this October. Based on the play by Kat Sandler, the series reimagines the Slavic myth of the witch Baba Yaga, set against the backdrop of a sleepy, small Canadian fishing village. The eight episode series follows the chilling tale of a private investigator (Reid) and a local sheriff (Backo) as they investigate the disappearance of a wealthy heir (Williams). Moss stars as an enigmatic university professor with a taste for young men and a dark secret.
Reid and Backo were onsite for the panel to give the Hall H audience some insight into what to expect from the new series. When asked about her character’s growth, Backo added, “I would never pick a character that doesn’t have growth, and further discussed how Sandler is amazing at creating and writing characters that are multidimensional.
