The force is strong with Hillywood as they take on their biggest challenge yet – creating a parody musical set in the Star Wars universe.
For over a decade, the Hillywood creators and sisters Hilly and Hannah Hindi have been creating parodies of the biggest shows and movies, taking on fandoms like Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, Stranger Things, Twilight, Good Omens and Supernatural. The pop-culture juggernaut of Star Wars has always been a goal of theirs, but they wanted to do it right. Was Hilly nervous about taking this parody on? “100%!” she said. “I’ve been a fan of Star Wars since I was a kid, and that was one reason I held off on doing Star Wars because I wanted to make it as epic as it actually is.”
Hillywood had some help from actor/directors and fellow Star Wars fans Richard Speight Jr., who directed the parody and Matt Cohen, who starred as the iconic Han Solo.
