Ted Lasso has returned! The beloved Apple TV+ series, starring Jason Sudeikis, is back.

I consider Ted Lasso to be one of the greatest television shows of all time. So naturally, I was worried that, with an extended break and a seemingly perfect ending to the series at the end of the third season, how they were going to come back and if the magic of what made the series so great would remain.
After the news that Phil Dunster was unable to make a return as Jamie Tartt, that worry increased even more.
However, after watching the first episode of the new season, I can say that Ted Lasso is back, and it doesn’t miss a beat. Seeing Ted (Sudekis), Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham), Leslie (Jeremy Swift), and Keeley (Juno Temple) reunite, but on Ted’s turf, was like a breath of fresh air.
The quirky Lasso-isms have returned, and you’re just so excited to see these characters back on screen. The opening episode sets up for hopefully a fantastic season, with Rebecca, Leslie, and Keeley touching down in Kansas City (Missouri, not Kansas!) because they need a coach for the Richmond Women’s team. Amid concerns about whether a women’s team can survive, Rebecca tells Ted they need to go back to where the Richmond culture started.
The chemistry and friendship that was built in the previous seasons comes through effortlessly, and I like the dynamic that has happened with Henry, (MOM), and Ted’s mom — all of them clearly just wanting Ted to be happy and supporting him going back to Richmond. I also can’t wait to see what happens when Ted goes back and sees Roy and Beard, too.
I, for one, cannot wait to see how the rest of the season turns out, if the first episode is anything to go by.
