‘Gachiakuta’ World Takeover: Global Premiere Events, New Trailer & More!

The anime adaptation of Gachiakuta is almost here, and ahead of its impending release, Crunchyroll (in partnership with Kodansha, Avex, and Bones) has launched a global anime movement to build excitement for this new series around the world — Gachiakuta World Takeover!

Global Premiere Events

Prior to its official streaming debut, Gachiakuta will premiere early in 15 countries and regions through special advance screenings.

Voice Actor Announcements

Toshiyuki Morikawa joins the cast as Regto, the man who raised Rudo after he lost his parents. He gave Rudo a pair of gloves.

Yuuki Shin joins the cat as Jabber, one of the “Raiders,” a group of ground bandits. He fights using rings containing a powerful neurotoxin. 

Based on the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kei Urana, the anime adaptation of Gachiakuta is produced by Bones Film. The series is directed by Fumihiko Suganuma, who will be making his directorial debut, with series composition by Hiroshi Seko and music by Taku Iwasaki.

“Crawl back from the abyss of Hell to change this lousy world. ‘Gachiakuta’ follows Rudo, a young outcast falsely accused of murder and exiled into the wasteland known as The Pit. Facing monstrous Trash Beasts and a world stacked against him, Rudo must rise from the depths and challenge the power structures that discarded him.”

Gachiakuta will begin streaming exclusively on Crunchyroll on July 6.
