Fans of given can now look forward to celebrating the North American release of the long-awaited film, To the Sea, with a one-day-only double feature theatrical release. On June 16, audiences in the United States and Canada will have a chance to watch two films back-to-back with given The Double Album: Hiiragi mix & To the Sea.
Based on the manga series written and illustrated by Natsuki Kizu, given is a BL (boys’ love) music drama that follows the story of the fateful meeting between high school students Ritsuka Uenoyama and Mafuyu Sato.
given The Movie: Hiiragi Mix Synopsis:
“After Ritsuka Uenoyama hears Mafuyu Sato sing, he invites Mafuyu to join his band. Given auditions for a festival in Shibuya and falls short, though they continue to attract attention. At the same time, Mafuyu’s childhood friends, Shizusumi Yagi and Hiiragi Kashima, prepare to make their debut as the band “syh.” When they lose a guitarist, Hiiragi asks Ritsuka to join them for their big show.”

Tickets for the special double feature film, which has a runtime of 152 minutes, are now available. given The Double Album: Hiiragi mix & To the Sea will be shown in Japanese with English subtitles.
