Ben Barnes Releases Music Video for New Song “Nevermind”

Ben Barnes is sending a heartfelt message to his fans with his new song “Nevermind.” Barnes has always been eloquent with his lyrics, but with “Nevermind” and “Beloved” it is clear this new album will be like a sincere therapy session set to beautiful music. His new album, Where The Light Gets In, will be released next month.

“Nevermind” speaks to the experience of missing something you aren’t sure you ever really had. We can all relate to instances when we didn’t try for something or someone we truly wanted or loved out of fear or insecurities. Barnes brings these feelings to the surface with the lyrics, “Out of my mind, stuck in my head.” In the music video, we see Barnes running alone through the streets trying to escape his mind. Halfway through the video, he is joined by what seems to be his lost love, his demeanor changes and we see a smile. By the end, he is alone again and the heartache is evident on his face as we hear the lyrics, “The stars aligned, I got left behind.” Barnes has a magic ability to touch your soul when he creates a song and leaves you thinking as the last notes fade.
