The trailer for Blumhouse’s next psychological thriller, Speak No Evil, is here — and a hellish family vacation awaits.
“When an American family is invited to spend the weekend at the idyllic country estate of a charming British family they befriended on vacation, what begins as a dream holiday soon warps into a snarled psychological nightmare.”
Watch the trailer below, which offers a taste of the unhinged madness that’s soon to come.
James McAvoy stars as Paddy, the charismatic, alpha-male estate owner whose untrammeled hospitality masks an unspeakable darkness. The rest of the cast includes Mackenzie Davis, Aisling Franciosi, Alix West Lefler, Dan Hough and Scoot McNairy.
Speak No Evil is based on Christian Tafdrup and Mads Tafdrup’s 2022 Danish horror, Gæsterne, which earned 11 Danish Film Awards nominations. The American remake is written for the screen and directed by James Watkins (Eden Lake, The Woman in Black). Jason Blum and Paul Ritchie serve as producers.
Speak No Evil will hit theaters on September 13.
