It’s been a long time coming, but the first visual for the upcoming SK8 the Infinity OVA (first announced in 2022) has been revealed!
SK8 the Infinity is an original anime series, created and directed by Hiroko Utsumi, the first season of which premiered in 2021. In addition to the forthcoming OVA, a second season is also in the works, though release dates have not yet been announced for either.
The first visual for the OVA features a flashback to Kaoru Sakurayashiki (Cherry Blossom) and Kojiro Nanjo (Joe) in high school.
As per Crunchyroll, SK8 the Infinity‘s synopsis is as follows:
“High school students Reki and Langa are hooked on one thing — a dangerous, top secret, no-holds-barred downhill skateboarding race called “S.” When Reki takes Langa, a transfer student, to the mountain where “S” is held, Langa finds himself sucked in. These colorful skaters will take you through a thrilling story of skateboard battles and unlimited possibilities!”
