New Chapter of ‘Haikyu!!’ Coming to Manga Plus & Shonen Jump

In July of 2020, Haruichi Furudate’s long-running sports manga series, Haikyu!!, came to an end with 402 chapters (though we’d be remiss not to also mention the 2022 10-year anniversary one-shot that followed). Now, with the impending release of the first of two films that will close out the anime adaptation, Haikyu!! The Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump, a special new chapter is coming in the next issue of Japan’s Weekly Shonen Jump to commemorate the film.

Those hoping for an official English translation can now rest assured that the upcoming chapter, which will show readers a different angle of Karasuno and Nekoma’s game, is getting a simulrelease this weekend via Manga Plus and Shonen Jump.

As per VIZ Media, Haikyu!!‘s official synopsis:

“After losing his first and last volleyball match against Tobio Kageyama, “the King of the Court,” Shoyo Hinata swears to become his rival after graduating middle school. But what happens when the guy he wants to defeat ends up being his teammate?!”

Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump will hit theaters in Japan on February 16.
