The long-awaited, epic showdown between Karasuno High and Nekoma High will soon be making its way to theaters with the release of the first of Haikyu!!‘s two final films, Haikyu!! The Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump. During Jump Festa 2024, a new trailer was released (featuring the new theme song “Orange” by SPYAIR).

Haikyu!! is a slice-of-life sports anime, based on Haruichi Furudate’s manga series that concluded in 2020, which follows high schooler Shoyo Hinata on his journey to become a star volleyball player. Seasons 1 through 4 are now streaming on Crunchyroll.

The Haikyu!! final films are produced by Toho Animation and animated by Production I.G, with Susumu Mitsunaka writing and directing, Takahiro Kishida as character designer, and Takahiro Chiba as chief animation director.

Haikyu!! The Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump will hit theaters in Japan on February 16, 2024. As confirmed in a new key visual, the film will be getting a simultaneous IMAX release as well.
