Upcoming Final ‘Haikyu!!’ Film Slated for IMAX Release

The harrowing, climactic match between Karasuno High and Nekoma High is on its way to the big screen with Haikyu!!‘s upcoming final films, which will be split into two parts. The first film, Haikyu!! The Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump, will be released in Japan on February 16, 2024, and a new key visual has confirmed that the epic battle will be getting a simultaneous IMAX release as well.

Based on Haruichi Furudate’s manga series that concluded in 2020, Haikyu!! is a slice-of-life sports anime that follows high schooler Shoyo Hinata on his journey to become a star volleyball player. Haikyu!! seasons 1 through 4 are now streaming on Crunchyroll.

The Haikyu!! FINAL films are produced by Toho Animation and animated by Production I.G., with Susumu Mitsunaka writing and directing, Takahiro Kishida as character designer, and Takahiro Chiba as chief animation director.
