The name Giancarlo Esposito should ring a few bells when you hear it. However, if you don’t recognize the Emmy and SAG Award-nominee and Critics Choice Award-winner’s name, then his face should be very familiar to you. With work on shows like Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, Once Upon A Time, The Mandalorian, and more, Esposito has become a familiar presence in households everywhere.

Now Esposito is headed back to AMC with a new series he is starring in, as well as executive producing!

The thrilling crime drama series Parish will follow Gracian “Gray” Parish, played by Esposito — the owner of a luxury car service located in New Orleans whose world is turned upside down when his son is violently murdered. This shock sends Gray into a tailspin as his business collapses around him, and soon Gray receives a visit from an old friend, from his time as a wheelman, and it doesn’t take long for old habits to resurface. This decision puts Gray on a collision course with a dangerous group of criminals that is sure to end with bloodshed.

With a lead actor like Esposito, you have to hire a cast that will rise to his level of talent, and Parish no doubt has an excellent supporting cast. The cast includes a head gangster “The Horse” played by Zackary Momoh, Parish’s wife Rose played by Paula Malcomson, Gray’s old friend Colin is played by Skeet Ulrich, and Arica Himmel as Gray’s daughter Makayla. Alongside this colorful group of series regulars is a recurring character Anton who is the charming face of a covert criminal organization, played by award-winner Bradley Whitford.

Parish has been reimagined for AMC from the hit U.K. series titled The Driver. This thrilling series has been created by Danny Brocklehurst and Jim Poyser. Brocklehurst is also serving as co-creator and executive producer alongside Esposito. Eduardo Javier Canto and Ryan Maldonado will serve as showrunners as well as executive producers.

Parish will premiere on AMC and AMC+ in March 2024. This highly anticipated series will consist of six action-packed episodes. Check out the teaser, titled “Our Father, Who Art in Heaven…” below.
