Universal Pictures Shares Official Trailer For ‘Abigail’
Universal Pictures has released the official trailer for Abigail, the upcoming movie from Radio Silence — the directing team consisting of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett who were behind Ready or Not and Scream (2022) and Scream VI.
Abigail is written by Stephen Shields (The Hole in the Ground) and Guy Busick (Scream franchise), offering a blood-thirsty modern vampire flick. The film is produced by William Sherak, Paul Neinstein, and James Vanderbilt for Project X Entertainment, Tripp Vinson, and Radio Silence’s Chad Vilella. Executive producers are Ron Lynch and Macdara Kelleher.
The movie’s official description reads:
“After a group of would-be criminals kidnap the 12-year-old ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure, all they have to do to collect a $50 million ransom is watch the girl overnight. In an isolated mansion, the captors start to dwindle, one by one, and they discover, to their mounting horror, that they’re locked inside with no normal little girl.”
The cast for Abigail stars Melissa Barrera (Scream franchise), Dan Stevens (Legion), Kathryn Newton (Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania), William Catlett (True Story), Kevin Durand (Resident Evil: Retribution) and Angus Cloud (Euphoria) as the kidnappers and Alisha Weir (Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical) as Abigail.
Abigail premieres in theaters on April 19.
