Ahead of tonight’s NXT No Mercy PLE, Shawn Michaels has confirmed that the NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Tiffany Stratton will main event.
After defeating Stratton on the September 12 episode of WWE NXT, the next week Lynch celebrated in the ring only to be interrupted by the former champion. Lynch declared the match an Extreme Rules match.
Since Lynch’s return to NXT, she’s been a major part of the big jump in weekly ratings. The NXT after she won the championship brought the show’s second biggest number (824,000 viewers) since moving to Tuesday nights.
WWE NXT No Mercy takes places tonight at 8 p.m. EST on Peacock in the U.S. and the WWE Network everywhere else.
