To celebrate the 200th episode of Dynamite airing on TBS tonight, it has been revealed that AEW’s Elite faction — Kenny Omega, Matt and Nick Jackson, and Adam Page — have all re-signed with the company.
First reported by Sports Illustrated, the men have all signed multi-year contracts ensuring AEW will remain “elite” for years to come. Rumors have been swirling for months that WWE had high interest in Omega specifically, but Omega noted to SI that in this stage of his career, there are opportunities he can work on outside of wrestling that weighed on his decision. As for the Young Bucks and Page, the decorated tag team of brothers and the former AEW World Champion marked the schedule as one of their key factors on staying in AEW (along with it being called All Elite Wrestling).
The Elite (with Cody Rhodes) alongside AEW’s CEO Tony Khan helped start the alternative wrestling promotion in 2019 that has reached millions of homes worldwide since. In a few weeks, the company will host All In — the live wrestling event that was the predecessor to what would become All Elite Wrestling — at Wembley Stadium. So far, the event has sold over 77,000 tickets with the belief that a full sell out is on the horizon.
Tonight on Dynamite, Omega and the Young Bucks wrestle Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, and Satnam Singh in trios action at 8 p.m. EST on TBS. The Elite have been off television for a week after facing The Blackpool Combat Club in Blood and Guts at the TD Garden in Boston, putting an end to an epic feud.
