Netflix has released the date announcement for its upcoming spy comedy film Spy Kids: Armageddon. The film is the fifth installment in the Spy Kids franchise and follows the consequences of what happens when the children of the world’s greatest secret agents unwittingly help a powerful game developer unleash a computer virus that gives him control of all technology. The children themselves must pick up where their parents left off and become spies themselves to save their parents and the world before its too late.
The film’s cast includes Gina Rodriguez, Zachary Levi, Everly Carganilla, Connor Esterson, Billy Magnussen and D. J. Cotrona. Directing the film is Robert Rodriguez, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Racer Max. Max and Rodriguez also produce the film alongside David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, and Elizabeth Avellán.
