Fans assembled in San Antonio, Texas at Thomas J. Henry’s Superhero Comic Con and Car Show from July 7-9, 2023, to meet and interact with a star-studded group of actors, wrestlers, and comic artists. Fans of all ages endured the Texas heat to stand in line outside the venue in excitement to experience the convention’s activities. The show also partnered with the ACE experience to bring a host of guests.

Panelists ranged from Felicia Day to Marvel’s Elizabeth Olsen and Brie Larson, to Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke answering questions about their time on Game of Thrones. Even Thony Parker, an NBA champion from the San Antonio Spurs made an appearance, because not all superheroes wear capes, as they say. Ming-Na Wen was there representing her roles in Marvel, Star Wars, and Disney, saying, “I want to hit all the franchises I can!”

Music and Marvel fans alike enjoyed Hailee Steinfeld’s panel, too. Her infectious energy and positivity radiated from the stage as she spoke of her desire to make her characters authentic. Her fellow Hawkeye costar, Alaqua Cox, spoke of the importance of diversity in mainstream media. As part of the deaf and hearing impaired community as well as being an amputee, Alaqua talked about how much representation matters.

Another big draw to the show was Andrew Garfield. Garfield made his Comic-Con debut (outside of San Diego Comic-Con) by doing photo ops and autographs, much to the delight of the many excited fans who attended.

The show also featured some other greats such as Chukwudi Iwuji, Asher Angel, Katee Sackhoff, and more, as well as an extensive list of artists for guests to see.
