‘House of the Dragon’ Scores Eight Emmy Award Nominations
The nominations for the 75th annual Primetime Emmy Awards were announced today, and HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon, earned itself a total of eight nominations. The series’ most notable nomination is for Outstanding Drama Series.

Outstanding Short Form Nonfiction Or Reality Series
Outstanding Sound Editing For A Comedy Or Drama Series (One Hour)
The Game of Thrones prequel is set nearly 200 years before the events of the series following the Targaryen civil war with King Viserys I Targaryen’s children battling for control of the Iron Throne. The drama series has been renewed for a second season but won’t be released until 2024.
