Trailer for Ridley Scott’s ‘Napoleon’ Released

Sony Pictures and Apple Original Films released a trailer today for the upcoming epic film Napoleon, which follows the rise and fall of one of the most powerful and controversial leaders of all time, Napoleon Bonaparte.

The official synopsis of the film reads:

Napoleon is a spectacle-filled action epic that details the checkered rise and fall of the iconic French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, played by Oscar®-winner Joaquin Phoenix. Against a stunning backdrop of large-scale filmmaking orchestrated by legendary director Ridley Scott, the film captures Bonaparte’s relentless journey to power through the prism of his addictive, volatile relationship with his one true love, Josephine, showcasing his visionary military and political tactics against some of the most dynamic practical battle sequences ever filmed.

Joining Joaquin Phoenix in the film is Vanessa Kirby as Napoleon’s wife Empress Josephine with Tahar Rahim, Ben Miles, Ludivine Sagnier, Matthew Needham, Youssef Kerkour, Phil Cornwell, and Ian McNeice also starring. Napoleon is directed by Ridley Scott and written by David Sparpa with Mark Huffam, Kevin J. Walsh, and Scott producing.
