Check Out the First Full Trailer for Prime Video’s ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’
The premiere of the second season of Prime Video’s hit series based on Jenny Han’s The Summer I Turned Pretty books is just two weeks away, and we finally have our first full trailer!
Picking up after the emotional conclusion of the first season, the second season of The Summer I Turned Pretty will follow the events of It’s Not Summer Without You, the second book in Han’s Summer series. From Isabel “Belly” Conklin (Lola Tung) facing the difficult choice between her two best boys, Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno), to dealing with the fallout of discovering that the boys’ mother Susannah’s (Rachel Blanchard) cancer has returned, season two was set to be an emotional adventure from the start and this trailer brings the emotions.
Set to the start of the show’s sure to be exceptional soundtrack, the Back to December – Taylor’s Version backed trailer brings most of the first season cast back for this emotional journey, with Sean Kaufman (Steven), Jackie Chung (Laurel), and David Iacono (Cam) joining Tung, Briney, Casalegno, and Blanchard to reprise their roles. The trailer also introduces new faces Kyra Sedgwick and Elsie Fisher as yet to be named characters who we’re sure to get to know throughout the season.
Unlike season one, which was released in its entirety on the same day, season two will kick off with a three-episode release of “Love Lost”, “Love Scene” and “Love Sick” on July 14. The show will then move to a weekly Friday release schedule with “Love Game” dropping on July 21, “Love Fool” on July 28, “Love Fest” on August 4, “Love Affair” on August 11, and wrapping up with “Love Triangle” on August 18.
