A new teaser trailer for the next live-action Star Wars series for Disney+, Ahsoka, has confirmed the official premiere date for the series, which was previously announced for August.

Ahsoka comes from the mind of Dave Filoni, the creator of the character who has been a longtime fan-favorite since appearing in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Alongside Rosario Dawson as the titular character, Ahsoka stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma, David Tennant as the droid Professor Huyang, Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker. The series antagonists include Lars Mikkelsen bringing Grand Admiral Thrawn into live-action after previously voicing the character for Star Wars: Rebels, with the late Ray Stevenson, Ivanna Sakhno, and Diana Lee Inosanto rounding out the forces against Ahsoka.

Ahsoka will begin streaming on the platform August 23. Stay tuned with Nerds & Beyond for updates.
