Samuel L. Jackson is set to star alongside Boyd Holbrook in Last Meals, in which he will portray a disgraced White House chef. The film is set to be helmed by Andrew Levitas, with the script having been penned by Justin Piasecki.
Last Meals follows Walter, the former White House chef who finds himself working at a maximum-security prison cooking last meals for death row inmates years later, and his experience with Reed, played by Holbrook, an inmate who embarks on a hunger strike to protest his innocence. The two men form an unlikely bond as Walter receives a look into the soul of a man willing to forego his last opportunity of joy in life.
The project will be produced by Renée Tab and Christopher Tuffin of Sentient Entertainment; with Morgan Freeman, Gary Lucchesi, Lori McCreary, and Michael McKay of Revelations Entertainment. Executive producers are Andrew Schefter, Justin Piasecki, Myles Nestel, and Lisa Wilson.
