20th Century Studios has announced that tickets are now available at Fandango and other ticket sellers for its upcoming horror thriller The Boogeyman.
The film follows the Harper sisters, Sadie and Sawyer, as they navigate the recent death of their mother. While fighting their grief, the sisters soon find themselves fighting a evil force that has taken root in their home. The official synopsis reads:
“From the mind of best-selling author Stephen King comes The Boogeyman. High school student Sadie Harper and her younger sister Sawyer are reeling from the recent death of their mother and aren’t getting much support from their father, Will, a therapist who is dealing with his own pain. When a desperate patient unexpectedly shows up at their home seeking help, he leaves behind a terrifying supernatural entity that preys on families and feeds on the suffering of its victims.”
The Boogeyman stars Sophie Thatcher, Chris Messina, Vivien Lyra Blair, Marin Ireland, Madison Hu, LisaGay Hamilton, and David Dastmalchian. The film is directed by Rob Savage from a screenplay by Scott Beck, Bryan Woods and Mark Heyman and a story by Beck and Woods based upon the short story by Stephen King.
The film’s executive producers include John H. Starke, Emily Morris, Scott Beck, Bryan Woods, Ryan Cunningham, Adam Kolbrenner, and Robyn Meisinger with Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, and Dan Cohen serving as producers.
