Renny Harlin is set to direct the first film to be produced under Gene Simmons and Gary Hamilton’s new production banner, Simmons/Hamilton Productions.

The survival thriller is titled Deep Water and will return Harlin to the deep blue sea, following a group of international travelers whose plane is forced to make a landing in shark-infested waters. The group is forced into a life-or-death situation where they must overcome their differences to escape the sinking plane … and the frenzied sharks who are drawn to it. Harlin previously directed Deep Blue Sea, another shark survival thriller.

Production on Deep Water is set to begin later this year. Stay tuned with Nerds & Beyond for updates.
