Ron Howard’s survival thriller Origin of Species is coming together with an all-star cast that’s just been announced, including the likes of Ana De Armas (No Time to Die), Jude Law (Sherlock Holmes), Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina), and Daniel Brühl (The Falcon and The Winter Soldier).
The film tells two different accounts of the same story, and it’s “a darkly comic tale of murder and survival, set around a group of eclectic characters who abandon civilization for the Galapagos. They are all searching for the answer to that ever-pressing question that plagues us all: what is the meaning of life.” The script is written by Noah Pink.
The project comes from Howard’s Imagine Entertainment alongside CAA Media Finance and AGC Studios and will be shopped at the upcoming Cannes market.
Filming is set to begin later this year in Australia. This news was first reported by Deadline.
