The CW Adds Two International Dramas to its Summer Line-Up

The CW has continued its tradition of acquiring international shows with its recent acquisition of two international dramas, per Deadline.

The first show is a British supernatural series The Rising, which originally aired on Sky in the United Kingdom. The Rising is written by Pete McTighe and Charlotte Wolf and executive produced by Serena Thompson, Julian Stevens, and McTighe.

The second series the CW acquired is an Australian drama series called Barons. The series comes from Micanical Media, 2 Jons and Fremantle Australia. Barons was created by Liz Doran, Michael Lawrence, and John Molloy and was directed by Shawn Seet in collaboration with surf director Taylor Steele.

Both series will premiere on The CW on May 29. The Rising will air at 8 p.m. EST with Barons following at 9 p.m. EST.
