‘1923’: ‘Yellowstone’ Prequel Renewed for Second Season!

As we eagerly await the return of the Yellowstone prequel series, 1923, which is due to pick back up with its next episode this Sunday after a five-week hiatus, exciting news has made its way to the ranch — the show has been renewed for a second season!

1923 introduces a new generation of Duttons led by patriarch Jacob (Harrison Ford) and matriarch Cara (Helen Mirren). It explores the early twentieth century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition, and the Great Depression all plague the mountain west, and the Duttons who call it home.

The show also stars Brandon Sklenar, Darren Mann, Julia Schlaepfer, Michelle Randolph, James Badge Dale, Marley Shelton, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, and Jerome Flynn.

Whereas the first Yellowstone spin-off, 1883, was made to be a single-season 10-episode miniseries, it appears there are still more harrowing adventures to be had by 1923‘s next generation of the Dutton family.

Yellowstone, on the other hand, is due to pick back up with the second half of its fifth season this summer, though an exact premiere date has not yet been announced.

Catch up on the first four episodes of 1923 now on Paramount+.
