BAFTA Announces 2023 Nominations

Share:

BAFTA has announced its nominees for the 2023 BAFTA Awards, and in a growing trend, has deviated strongly from the established awards season favorites in favor of underdog nominees. All Quiet on the Western Front received a staggering 14 nominations, making it tied for the most nominations for a foreign film in BAFTA history as well as the most nods given to a film since The King’s Speech. 14 out of the 24 performer nominations went to first-time nominees, and snubs included heavyweights Women Talking and The Fabelmans (which only received one nod). However, favorites Everything Everywhere All at Once and The Banshees of Inisherin still managed to nab ten nominations apiece.

The BAFTA Awards ceremony will take place on February 19. Check out the full list of nominees below!
