Everyone’s favorite kid is getting his own short film. Zen – Grogu and Dust Bunnies, which will be centered around the beloved character from The Mandalorian, has just been announced — and it’ll be landing on Disney+ tomorrow!

The short will be a hand-drawn animation by Studio Ghibli, the renowned Japanese animation studio responsible for legendary anime feature films such as Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, and Princess Mononoke. Studio Ghibli vaguely teased its upcoming collaboration with Lucasfilm yesterday.

As per the title and the artwork, it looks like we can expect to see an adorable mashup between Grogu and the Soot Sprites, which are spirits that that have appeared in Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro.

November 12 also marks the three-year anniversary of the first live-action Star Wars series that set off a new era for the franchise.

The Mandalorian season 3 is set to release in February 2023 exclusively on Disney+. Pedro Pascal returns as the titular Mandalorian/Din Djarin, along with Carl Weathers as Greef Karga, Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze, Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, Amy Sedaris as Peli Motto, and Emily Swallow as The Armorer, with Christopher Lloyd joining the cast in an unknown role.
