Shudder has released the official trailer for its upcoming horror/thriller A Wounded Fawn. The film originally debuted at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, earning wide critical acclaim before screening at FrightFest London and Fantastic Fest. It debuts on the streaming platform next month.

Drawing from surrealist art and Greek mythology, A Wounded Fawn follows Meredith (Sarah Lind), a museum curator who wades back into the dating pool. However, it’s not all smooth sailing as she becomes targeted by a charming serial killer (Josh Ruben). During a romantic getaway, the two become entangled in a dangerous game of cat and mouse and are forced to confront his inner madness.

Indie filmmaker Travis Stevens (Jakob’s Wife) directed and co-wrote the screenplay with Nathan Faudree. Stevens, Joe Barbagallo of Barbhouse, and Laurence Gendron of Genco Pictures produced. Ksusha Genenfeld served as DP, and Vaaal composed the score. Additional cast includes Malin Barr.

A Wounded Fawn premieres December 1 exclusively on Shudder. Watch the trailer below:
