‘Hannibal’ Reunion: Mads Mikkelsen to Star in Bryan Fuller’s ‘Dust Bunny’

NBC

Fannibals, rejoice! This may not be the long-anticipated announcement of Hannibal season 4, but we’re still thrilled to see actor Mads Mikkelsen reuniting with Hannibal creator Bryan Fuller for Fuller’s feature film directorial debut, Dust Bunny.

Deadline reports that the film “follows an eight-year-old girl who enlists the help of her intriguing neighbor to kill the monster under her bed that she believes ate her family,” as “a throwback to the family horror films of the ’80s.” It’s anyone’s guess what role Mikkelsen will play, but he’s proven his versatility and charm while playing the iconic Hannibal Lecter.

Fuller is also behind ABC’s Pushing Daisies, Starz’ American Gods, and Star Trek: Discovery. He recently produced and directed two episodes of the docuseries Queer for Fear on AMC-owned streaming network Shudder.

Entertainment One and Thunder Road will co-produce, with Fuller producing alongside Thunder Road’s Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee. Production starts in January 2023. We can’t wait to see what magic these two powerhouses will create together!
