The upcoming film adaptation of Mason Deaver’s YA novel I Wish You All the Best (IWYATB) has found its Ben! Deadline has announced that Corey Fogelmanis (Girl Meets World) will lead the cast as the film’s protagonist. He will star alongside the previously announced Alexandra Daddario, as well as Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Amy Landecker, Judson Mills, Lexi Underwood, Lisa Yamada, and Brian Michael Smith.

IWYATB centers on Benjamin De Backer, a non-binary teen who’s kicked out of their house after coming out to their parents (Landecker and Mills). They go to live with their estranged sister Hannah (Daddario) and her husband Thomas, but Ben struggles with anxiety exacerbated by their parents’ rejection. Despite trying to keep a low profile at school, Ben soon meets and befriends Nathan (Gutierrez-Riley), and things begin to look up as the two become closer.

IWYATB is written, directed, and produced by Tommy Dorfman. She produces alongside ACE Entertainment’s Matt Kaplan, with Aubrey Bendix and Braden Bochner overseeing the project. James Harris executive produces for TeaShop Films.

No release date has been set, but filming is currently underway. Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
