New ‘Disenchanted’ Trailer Teases Giselle’s Dark Turn

Share

It’s officially Disenchanted month, and ahead of the release, Disney+ has shared a new trailer for the movie!

Similar to the first trailer, this new one offers a glimpse at Giselle and Robert’s new life in the suburbs. However, it’s not quite what either of them expected. The trailer also provides a little more insight into the consequences of Giselle’s wish, primarily in how it affects the town, but also Giselle herself.

Disenchanted is set 15 years after the events of Enchanted. Giselle and Robert are married, Morgan is a teen, and a new baby has joined the family. Despite the magic of the beginning of their life together, Giselle is weary of city life. So, to recapture the happiness she once knew, the family moves to a suburban town called Monroeville. Giselle struggles to adjust though, thanks to resident queen bee Malvina Monroe. Frustrated, Giselle turns to Andalasia for help, but a spell gone wrong places the town and Giselle’s happiness in danger.

Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, Idina Menzel, and James Mardsen will reprise their roles for the sequel. They’re joined by Maya Rudolph, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jayma Mays, and Gabriella Baldacchino.

Adam Shankman directed the screenplay by Brigitte Hales, from a story by J. David Stem, David N. Weiss, and Richard LaGravenese. Adams, Barry Sonnenfeld, and Barry Joseph produced, with Shankman, Jo Burn, and Sunil Perkash as executive producers. Alan Menken did the music and score, with lyrics by Stephen Schwartz.

Disenchanted arrives on Disney+ on November 18. Watch the new trailer below:
