Nominees for the 2022 People’s Choice Awards, an award show which garners votes from the general public, were revealed this morning. Lucasfilm’s Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi received three nods.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is set 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat — the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader. The series sees the return of both Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen in their iconic roles.
The show was nominated in the following categories:
- Show of 2022
- Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show of 2022
- Male TV Star of 2022
Winners of the People’s Choice Awards, which are to be hosted by Kenan Thompson, will be announced on Tuesday, December 6 on NBC and E!. Voting is now open.
All six episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi are now streaming exclusively on Disney+, along with the behind-the-scenes special A Jedi’s Return. Catch up on all of our coverage on the series, including our review, episodic recaps, and more.
