As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Meg Donnelly (Zombies, The Winchesters, HSMSMTS) and Harry Shum Jr. (Crazy Rich Asians, Glee, Grey’s Anatomy) as leads in the new animated film Legion of Super-Heroes. Donnelly and Shum Jr. are set to voice Supergirl/Kara Zor El and Brainiac 5, respectively.

The story’s premise is set to revolve around “Kara, devastated by the loss of Krypton, [as she] struggles to adjust to her new life on Earth. Her cousin, Superman, mentors her and suggests she leave their space-time to attend the Legion Academy in the 31st century, where she makes new friends and a new enemy: Brainiac 5. Meanwhile, she must contend with a mysterious group called the Dark Circle as it searches for a powerful weapon held in the Academy’s vault.”

Other actors on the project include Donnelly’s co-star from The Winchesters, Jensen Ackles — reprising his role as Batman — Darren Criss (Glee) as Superman, and Matt Bomer (Chuck, White Collar, Magic Mike) as The Flash. Other involved actors include Cynthia Hamidi (Dawnstar), Gideon Adlan (Phantom Girl), Ely Henry (Bouncing Boy), Robbie Daymond (TimberWolf and Brainiac 4), Yuri Lowenthal (Mon El), Eric Lopez (Cosmic Boy and Chemical King), Darin De Paul (Brainiac and Solomon Grundy), Ben Diskin (Arms Fall off Boy and Brainiac 2), Victoria Grace (Shadow Lass), Jennifer Hale (Alura), Daisy Lightfoot (Triplicate Girl), and Zeno Robinson (Invisible Kid and Brainiac 3).
