Harvey Keitel Joins ‘National Treasure: Edge of History’

The National Treasure reveals keep on coming at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. During Disney+’s panel for the upcoming National Treasure: Edge of History, fans were treated to the first teaser and a special casting announcement. Franchise alum Harvey Keitel will reprise his role as Peter Sadusky.

In the first movie, Sadusky was the FBI agent leading the investigation for the theft of the Declaration of Independence, hot on Ben and company’s tail. He returns in the second movie, though he’s more inclined to help Ben rather than imprison him. Keitel is the second National Treasure cast member to return, following Justin Bartha (Riley Poole).

National Treasure: Edge of History follows Jess Morales, a 20-year-old DREAMer who’s a clever and resourceful young woman who sets out on a quest to uncover the secrets of her family history and find a lost Pan American treasure.

Lisette Olivera leads the cast and is joined by Bartha, Keitel, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jake Austin Walker, Lyndon Smith, Zuri Reed, Antonio Cipriano, and Jordan Rodrigues. Cormac and Marianne Wibberley return as writers and executive produce with Jon Turteltaub and Jerry Bruckheimer, both of whom produced the movies. Jonathan Littman, KristieAnne Reid, and Rick Muirragui executive produce. Mira Nair will serve as a director.
