‘Loki’ Grabs Six Emmy Nominations for Marvel Studios

The nominees for the 74th annual Emmy Awards were announced today, recognizing achievements in television from June 1, 2021 through May 31, 2022.

Several Marvel Disney+ series received recognition. One of the shows that received nominations was Loki.

The Disney+ series received nominations across six different categories:

  • Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Period or Fantasy Program
  • Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series
  • Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes
  • Outstanding Music Composition for a Series
  • Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music
  • Outstanding Sound Editing for a Comedy or Drama Series

The hit Marvel series follows Loki, the god of mischief, throughout some adventures across time and space. Tom Hiddleston returned to play our favorite trickster and the show was met with love from fans and critics. Joining Loki this time around were Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, Owen Wilson as Mobius, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna just to name a few.

If you would like to see the excellent work that earned these nominations season one of Loki is currently streaming on Disney+. Season 2 is currently in production.

The 74th annual Emmy Awards are set to take place on September 12. However, the Creative Arts Emmy Awards will happen first on September 3-4. An edited presentation will be aired on September 10, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FXX.
