The CW has announced that The Winchesters has been ordered for a full season! A spin-off of the massive hit Supernatural, The Winchesters is a prequel that will tell the story of John and Mary Winchester alongside new and returning characters. The prequel represents the third attempt at a Supernatural spin-off and the first to receive a full order, with Supernatural: Bloodlines and Wayward Sisters both airing as backdoor pilots during the original run.
The series was first announced in June 2021 and has been in development since then, filming its pilot in April 2022. It will be executive produced by original Supernatural star Jensen Ackles alongside his wife Danneel Ackles through their production company Chaos Machine, alongside former Supernatural writer Robbie Thompson.
The Winchesters will star Drake Rodger as John Winchester, Meg Donnelly as Mary Campbell, Jojo Fleites as Carlos Cervantez, Nida Khurshid as Latika Desai, Demetria McKinney as Ada Monroe, and Bianca Kajlich as Millie Winchester. Stay tuned for more info as we get it!
