The Academy Award-winning director and writer behind Promising Young Woman, Emerald Fennell, has a new film in the works. Following the announcement that Gone Girl star Rosamund Pike will star in the new film from Fennell, two more cast additions have been announced: Barry Keoghan and Jacob Elordi.
Details on the film, which is officially titled Saltburn, are being kept scarce — although it is believed the film will follow an English aristocratic family and tell a tale of obsession. The film is produced by Fennell and LuckyChap Entertainment’s Josey McNamara, Tom Ackerley, and Margot Robbie. This film will be Fennell’s second feature film following 2020’s Promising Young Woman, which received several nominations and ultimately won the Academy Award for Best Screenplay.
Saltburn will mark Elordi’s highest-profile film appearance to date following his breakout performance as Nate in HBO’s Euphoria, though he can be seen next in He Went That Way opposite Zachary Quinto. Keoghan was most recently seen taunting the Riddler as an unseen Arkham prisoner in Matt Reeves’ The Batman and Marvel Studios’ Eternals and can be seen later this year in Martin McDonaugh’s The Banshees of Inisherin alongside Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson.
